Water-based lubricants vs. oil-based lubricants
All lubricants are not made the same. With water-based lubes, the main ingredient is water, which helps to create a formula that is typically lightweight in texture and mimics the body’s natural lubrication. A water-based lubricant can also be used with latex and polyisoprene condoms, dental dams and diaphragms, may safely be enjoyed with sex toys, and can often be used for both penetrative and oral sex, depending on the ingredients included. Meanwhile, oil-based lubricants have a thicker texture that provides more moisture and ease. How
