At Bloomi, we have a team of sexologists and sex educators who understand that our intimate areas are among the most sensitive and permeable areas, so pleasure and hygiene products should be free from toxic ingredients and allergens such as glycerin, gluten, phthalates and more.
In fact, we created the industry’s first-ever, research-backed clean standard that includes both a banned list and a yes list of natural aphrodisiacs. When formulating Bloomi Essentials, our clean intimate care line for all bodies, we leaned into this list to deliver plant-based, feel-good products to use before, during and after your most intimate moments.
We don't use toxic ingredients.
We take our clean standard seriously. None of our Essentials or Luxe items contain ingredients on our banned list. We formulate every product to ensure they don’t include these toxic substances. That’s because intimate skin is extremely permeable. The cells in these areas are loosely arranged, allowing ingredients in products to enter the bloodstream in a matter of seconds.
Unfortunately, 98% of intimate care products use toxic ingredients like glycerin (triggers bacterial vaginosis and pH imbalance and increases the risk of STIs), parabens (have been linked to hormone disruption), phthalates (linked to reproductive toxicity and fertility issues) and synthetic dyes and fragrances (contains allergens that irritate the skin), so many people experience discomfort and infections.

We do use natural aphrodisiacs.
In ditching toxic ingredients found in many drug store items, our intimate care products are rich in safe botanical aphrodisiacs that stimulate libido and enhance pleasure naturally. These natural aphrodisiacs are filled with nutrients that stimulate blood circulation, balance hormones and soothe the skin, which are necessary for the body to experience arousal or sexual pleasure.
For instance, Bloomi's sensual pleasure oil Desire is formulated with cinnamon, nutmeg, Damiana and fatty oils for natural, plant-powered stimulation. Meanwhile, Smooth, our water-based personal lubricant, is rich in aloe for natural hydration and elasticity.
We work with botanical oils.
The Bloomi Essentials line is also rich in natural oils like coconut oil, pumpkin oil, sesame seed oil, castor oil and more. These natural oils have been used across the world for centuries to relax, nourish and soothe skin safely and sustainably—and they smell delicious.
